Best Day Ever

Ok, I know I haven’t done any crafty updates in a while… I’ve just been so busy Christmas shopping and candle making and cookie baking…and of course, wine drinking. If you can’t get drunk during the holidays then what’s the point?

I’ve been making these teacup candles for family and friends mostly but my friend works at a yoga studio/handmade goods shop and she said she would LOVE to sell some of these in her store so I’ve just been cranking them out non stop.

I got all the cups at a thrift store and I even managed to pick up some rare noritake china… (I wouldn’t have known but the owner of the store told me to look them up) Those are my favorites for sure. 

I also made some yummy wax melting tarts for myself out of the leftover waxes. They smell like apple blossom <3

I’ve checked on etsy and similar candles are going for 25 dollars plus 9 dollars shipping and handling. That person is clearly a fucking Nazi because I’ve figured it out and it only cost me 2.50 a candle and that’s including the price of the cup. I’ll probably sell mine for 8 without a saucer and 10 with one.

These are my Willy Wonka inspired nails.

First, I used my decorative scissors to precut electrical tape into little zigzag strips.

Then I painted my nails gold and waited for them to COMPLETELY dry. Don’t get impatient or you’ll ruin the first layer.

Then I taped my fingers and painted over them. Pull the tape up immediately before the polish can dry..

Top coat and done!

For the record… That polish is waayy more purple in real life. Looks just like a Wonka bar wrapper. Just more proof that I’m in love with my job.

Vyvyan head right before I took it off the needles.. Working on the body now.

These were my nails for Halloween. I used plain press on nails and painted them China Glaze Ruby Pumps. If you don’t own a bottle of Ruby Pumps then you should get one right away. It is the prettiest red and I usually wear it on my toes.

Hell, I get more compliments on my nails when they’re just plain ruby Pumps than I do when I have crazy designs on my nails.

Just look at that glitter. It reminds me of Hedwig’s lips in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Toddlers and Tiaras party at my house tonight!!

So… My hair is super huge today. I’m getting mixed reviews.. Does it look good or just messy and dirty?

Just a quick snap of my nails this morning. I wanted to do something for Halloween… But I ended up with this and I kinda hate it… But that might also be because my nails are so short right now and the skin around my nails looks like craaapppsss..

Ok.. So this is a mani that was DEMANDED by my friend Stacey. It’s sinful colors Pink Forever and a layer of Gettin Miss Piggy With It.

I love it. There’s no way to show how sparkly it really is. Keeping this one in mind for Valentines day.

I never use to layer polishes until I got these new ones…. But I think I really need to keep experimenting.

Ok… Here they are… A little late, I know, but I’ve been really sick this week.

So this is one coat of Rainbow Connection over two coats of Jade is the New Black. The first photo was taken indoors under normal lighting. The second was taken at work under fluorescent lighting.. And the third was taken outside in direct sunlight.

I knew I would like this polish but I didn’t think I would like it as much as I actually do. It is so distracting and I’ve already gotten a million compliments on it.

The only downside to this collection is they’re a bitch and a half to remove and most need two top coats to feel flat. So if you’re interested in this one I would say snatch it up asap because they seem to be going really fast

I just broke my thumb nail…. Carrying my nail polish drawer around. What am I going to do now??!??
